Water quality in the Yarra River and its tributaries is a reflection of the actions of people and businesses living around them. Around 2 million people live in the Yarra catchment, and one third of Melbourne’s total population live within one kilometre of a river or creek.
We can all do our bit to make rivers and creeks healthier. It's as easy as disposing of litter properly, cleaning up after your dog or getting active through your local community groups.
